About the role
Reporting to the VP Human Resources Europe, the Regional Talent Development Director leads the Europe Talent Development agenda, ensuring the Region has strong leadership and critical talent pipelines, robust succession plans and the capabilities required to support current and future business growth.
The role partners closely with Europe leadership, HR teams and People, Culture & Organisation Global CoE to drive talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development, internal mobility, learning initiatives, employee engagement and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion across the Region.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Europe Talent Management agenda, ensuring robust Talent Review and Succession Planning processes across the Region.
- Define and implement a consistent governance and drumbeat for Talent Reviews, High Potential (HiPo) management and Succession Planning, ensuring effective follow-up, accountability and engagement with Country HR teams.
- Build and maintain strong leadership and critical talent pipelines to support the Region’s current and future business needs, ensuring succession readiness for key positions.
- Identify, assess and develop High Potential talent and future leaders, ensuring development actions are implemented, monitored and translated into increased succession readiness and career growth.
- Lead the regional governance of the Project Management talent pipeline, ensuring a strong internal pool of future Project Managers and Project Directors, and oversee the nomination process for Project Directors assigned to highly critical projects.
- Lead the deployment of Global Talent initiatives across Europe and facilitate the regional Talent Development network to ensure alignment, consistent implementation and best-practice sharing across countries.
- Coordinate the deployment of My Voice (employee annual survey) across the Region, supporting HR teams and leaders in translating employee feedback into meaningful action plans and organisational improvements.
- Oversee regional Learning & Development priorities and manage the Europe Learning budget, ensuring investments support business needs, critical capabilities and future talent development.
- Drive the deployment of the Group Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategy across Europe, with a particular focus on improving gender balance within leadership pipelines, succession plans and talent development initiatives, while facilitating the regional DEI network.
Profile
- Significant experience in Talent Management or Leadership Development within an international/matrix environment.
- Strong expertise in Talent Reviews, High Potential development and Succession Planning.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders in a complex matrix organisation.
- Strategic mindset, strong business acumen and excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Project management skills
- Fluent in English; proficiency in another European language is highly desirable.
