Could you be the full-time Project Cybersecurity Manager in Toronto, ON we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive cybersecurity expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative, forward-thinking, and solutions-driven team.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and resilience of our systems, shaping the future of cybersecurity in the mobility industry. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, project management, and suppliers), analyze program security needs, and oversee the implementation of robust cybersecurity measures, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of defining cybersecurity architectures, managing vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, but also lead the charge in obtaining program and customer agreement on security measures.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Analyzing program security needs, including laws and regulations, and determining key security objectives and risks

  • Planning and managing security activities throughout the development lifecycle, including estimating costs, timelines, and training needs

  • Ensuring the delivery of cybersecurity context, risk analysis, architecture, and requirement allocation

  • Managing third-party risks, cascading requirements to suppliers, and evaluating achieved cybersecurity levels

  • Providing technical support during design meetings and obtaining agreement on security measures with customers

  • Managing vulnerabilities, cybersecurity issues, and communications, as well as reporting on program cybersecurity status

  • Leading external cybersecurity audits and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through lessons learned

  • Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct


All about you

  • Degree in engineering or a related field

  • 8+ years of proven experience delivering safety-critical systems

  • 3-5 years of experience using standards such as IEC-62443, CLC/TC 50701, APTA, or similar

  • Experience with direct responsibility for architecture, design, and development

  • Hands-on experience with cybersecurity in industrial control systems or operational technology (OT)

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and regulations, such as ISO 2700X, 62443, and NIST

  • Experience with cybersecurity risk analysis methods and evaluating system security

  • Certification in cybersecurity, such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, GICSP, or CompTIA Security+

  • Experience with project management and conducting cyber certifications

  • Desirable: Experience in embedded or OT/industrial systems, especially in railway or aeronautics

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $110,000 – $140,000 CAD per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on skills, experience, and internal equity.
