Reporting to Platform Technical Director
Purpose of the job:
- Contribute in assisting the Product Directors setting-up the Bid Strategy.
- Provide the technical support for Bid development and competitiveness.
- Drive the technical activities during the pre-tender and tender phases.
- Contribute to the Technical Director on the product strategy.
- Ensure the carry-over of solutions between Suburban product portfolios.
- Drive the Validation (tests) and Certification process during pre-tender and tender phase
Main Responsibilities:
To be the platform reference for Certification activities:
Analyzing the need of each tender/pre-tender
Surveying the evolution of the process in contact with the Certification Metier
Ensuring robustness of testing/validation/certification planning including the documentation, confirming the strategy and the number of tests trains
Identifying the risk for each tender
Establishing a guideline for suburban platform across the different countries and including hydrogen
To support the Product Director and Technical Director when:
Surveying & analyzing the market existing solutions
Analyzing the market needs
Working on Certification requirements
To manage the pre-tender activities:
Defining the Train Architecture to propose on each tender based on customer requirement and platform Portfolio
Making the technical analysis of the Business Case
To supervise the development of the Bid.
Validating , from Platform, the technical tender milestones
Validating the list of gaps and technical solutions proposed by Bid Technical Manager in line with product strategy during tender phase.
Approval of the development part of Risk Action Management Plan.
Participating in the definition of the compliance Matrix.
To validate, all along the Project, the technical definition of the train
To ensure the interface with components platform on the definition of target products for future tenders.
To ensure the collaboration between the platform and the (internal or external) Certification entities.
Qualifications & competencies expected:
- Minimum 5 yrs. experience in Technical Leadership position in a Railway, and participation in a Certification project in Europe.
- Strong and proven technical skills in Railway industry
- Good command of English - French/ Spanish or German are a “plus
- Able to demonstrate strong management and co-ordination skills with proven ability to prioritize and work effectively to meet the deadline.
- Able to work in an international, multisite and matrix organization structure.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Ability for analysis, problem-solving and efficient decision-making in complex environment
