The International Treasury team is working closely with Regional Treasurers and Finance Directors, addressing matters such as subsidiaries funding requirements in particular in countries with strong control over cross-border transactions. The primary responsibility of this team is to ensure funding at best conditions and maximize cash flows repatriation to the In-House Bank, in the forms of deposits, cash pooling, dividends distribution.

Joining the International Treasury team based in Paris area (Saint-Ouen), you will conduct analysis in close relationship with Tax and Legal in-house experts, other peers within Central Treasury: Front Office/Bonds & Guarantees/Project & Export Finance in order to submit to senior management adequate support for quick decision taking.


More specifically, you will:


•  Contribute to the Three -Year-Plan process & anticipate funding requirements expected to be submitted by affiliates. Launch immediate balance sheets and cash forecasts, in order to build the smartest financing strategy at best conditions,

•  Identify and promote anywhere possible, actions of working capital improvement, in order to limit recourse to internal / external loans

• Perform analysis of equity required for entities involved in tendering activity and required to meet specific ratios,

• Accompany legal restructuring required post-M&A process, or as part of the Group regular reviews to maintain a lean structure,

• Perform analysis of excess cash trapped at subsidiaries’ level, assess the best way to repatriate the funds when cash pooling is not in place, or propose with the support of Regional Treasurer/Front Office to invest locally,

• Ensure that Alstom as a shareholder is fairly considered in cases of JV financing or JV excess cash investment programs,

•  Control month end position of KPIs with affiliates ensuring a solid basis for defining future Group strategy, and suggest new dashboards when relevant,

•  Accompany changes in Treasury processes and systems targeting efficient & reliable Treasury operations,

•  Lead dividend campaign of Alstom subsidiaries.


Profile: We are looking for a skilled professional with:

  • Strong financial culture with basics in tax and finance law,
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Ability to discern key trends influencing cash flow generation cycles & capacity to challenge these trends
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Appetite to understand foreign exchange risk management
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"> 

Technical skills:

  • English fluent,
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Strong accounting, corporate finance or treasury academic background,
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Good understanding of financial markets (derivatives, ratings…) and mathematics (interest rates, discounting…)
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel,
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Interest for and knowledge of Information Systems and interfaces.
