Are you looking to grow into a high-visibility role where your impact is tangible and recognized? We are looking for a FP&A Manager to act as a strategic business partner within the Americas Finance team, based at our headquarters in Saint-Bruno (Quebec).
Your mission
The FP&A Manager leads a team of FP&A financial analysts and is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and presenting key performance indicators, as well as coordinating the consolidation of forward-looking financial information for Alstom Americas. This key member of the finance team actively contributes to the continuous improvement of financial processes and acts as a strategic partner to business teams.
Your future role
In this strategic role, you will play a key part in the financial performance of the Americas region by ensuring a proactive and rigorous view of results and financial forecasts. You will operate in a dynamic, matrixed environment where collaboration with multiple business partners is essential.
In addition to acting as a leader and coach to your team, you will actively contribute to decision-making by providing relevant financial analysis, strategic recommendations, and clear visibility on risks and opportunities. You will also take part in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening processes, tools, and overall financial efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate regional financial planning processes, including budget, forecasts, and periodic updates;
- Analyze financial results and trends in relation to business evolution;
- Effectively communicate financial results and recommendations to business partners;
- Challenge financial assumptions and provide clear insight into risks, opportunities, and variances;
- Ensure a strong control environment over indirect costs and headcount to maximize performance;
- Develop and implement action plans to optimize financial performance;
- Prepare and review financial presentations, executive reports, and analyses for senior management and Alstom headquarters;
- Support, coach, and develop the FP&A analyst team;
- Provide analytical support to the regional leadership team and headquarters as needed;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial tools, processes, and practices.
Your profile
- CPA designation (or related academic background);
- 8–10 years of experience in financial planning & analysis or a related field;
- Strong understanding of cost classification and financial reporting structures;
- Proven ability to drive change and lead improvement initiatives;
- Collaborative leadership style, with integrity and agility;
- Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and attention to detail;
- Resilience and ability to work in demanding environments with exposure to senior leadership;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English to interact with all organizational levels;
- Proficiency in IT tools, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint, as well as strong knowledge of financial ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
