More than a job: a mission

We're looking for a motivated Intern in Data Engineering (Winter 2027) to join our team in St-Bruno, for a 12-month duration. You'll collaborate with passionate experts shaping the next generation of digital rail mobility.

Your role, your impact

  • Assist in developing data analysis scripts using Python to support predictive maintenance and performance insights.
  • Create visual dashboards and KPIs using Tableau integrated within Alstom's Health Hub service.
  • Contribute to maintenance optimization by analyzing data from telematics and diagnostics systems.
  • Participate in improving data mining algorithms and system alerts for fleet monitoring.
  • Support system integration by exploring digital tools and legacy data platforms.
You'll work with sharp, committed teams solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility. As a Digital Services Intern, you’ll contribute directly to smarter, more sustainable transport systems.

What you bring

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in digital technology and data analytics applied to mobility systems.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or VBA.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is an asset.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French, with strong motivation and analytical skills.

How success is measured

  • Timely and accurate delivery of data models, dashboards, and analysis reports.
  • Demonstrated improvement in maintenance performance through data insights.
  • Commitment to learning, initiative, and active engagement with cross-functional teams.

Alstom, a great place to grow

  • Develop your expertise in digital mobility within Alstom’s innovative ecosystem.
  • Gain hands-on experience at the St-Bruno site, a key hub of digital services innovation.
  • Collaborate with global teams dedicated to sustainable and connected transport solutions.
Here, progress isn't always easy — the scale is massive, the tasks are complex — but the impact is real. Because when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects — that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts.

Knowledge of a language other than French is an asset to facilitate communication with our partners, suppliers, colleagues, and international clients. In Quebec, French remains the primary working language of our company.
