Could you be the full-time Traction Software Development Engineer in Charleroi we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your embedded software validation expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and goal-oriented teammates.
You'll play a key role in the software validation for traction converters, ensuring compliance with industry standards like EN 50716. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Traction Engineering, Validation, General Services, and more), coordinate software validation teams.
We’ll look to you for:
- Manage the Test Laboratory for a Charleroi CDS
- Develop, maintain, improve the testing means, methods and know-how in order to obtain / maintain the accreditation on one or several domains (EN 17025 or equivalent), when applicable and propose relevant solutions for validation, investigations, R&D, innovation
- Test Laboratory can carry out physical measurements and/or functional tests
- Synchronise Charleroi CDS validation needs with software validation teams from other sites.
- Manage necessary CAPEX under laboratory perimeter
- For accredited laboratories, ensure and promote laboratory impartiality

Degree in Engineering or a related field

Practical experience on testing phases (minimum of 2 years’ experience in Railway or Health, Defense, Aeronautical, Automotive domains)
- Experience in Team management: 2 years

Managing workpackages for external customers
- Electrical habilitation level, as required by local registration

Basic understanding of configuration management principles

Familiarity with requirement traceability and change management tools

Knowledge of control systems and power control electronics

Good understanding of electronics boards (architecture and basic software)

Strong communication skills, team spirit, and analytical capabilities

Fluency in English, both written and spoken
