Could you be the full time Site Procurement Director  (f/m/d) in Bautzen we’re looking for? 

 

 

Your Future Role 

 

In Bautzen, 1,200 colleagues manufacture S-Bahn, tram, and light rail vehicles, as well as high-speed trains, with a focus on final assembly, commissioning, and delivery. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. 

 

We’ll look for you to : 

 

  • Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, develop and motivate a multicultural procurement team

  • Ensure compliance with ethics, procurement processes and tools

  • Collaborate closely with global and regional stakeholders

  • Manage team structure, onboarding and cost center

  • Procurement Performance

  • Drive procurement excellence and continuous improvement

  • Support and challenge sourcing strategies to ensure project success

  • Monitor and improve supplier QCD performance

  • Project Execution & Profitability

  • Support negotiations and stakeholder alignment during execution

  • Track procurement performance and manage risks

  • Implement action plans and share lessons learned

  • Operational Excellence & Cash Focus

  • Support supply chain, quality and finance for performance and cost control

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and operational efficiency

 

 

All About You

  • Master’s degree in Business/Engineering (Purchasing preferred)

  • 10–15 years’ experience incl. commodity management

  • Strong procurement and team management background (multicultural teams)

  • Deep commodity & supplier market expertise

  • Fluent English, international mindset

  • Strong leadership, communication & influencing skills

  • Matrix organization experience

  • Results-driven, able to challenge and negotiate strategically
