Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in costing and pricing within a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, detail-oriented, and results-driven teammates.

You'll play a critical role in preparing, leading, and managing all costing and pricing aspects of services tenders, ensuring alignment with financial strategies and operational goals. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Bid Managers, Tender Leaders, Finance Tender Managers, and Technical Teams), lead cost estimation activities, and support the project team on costing aspects until key project milestones are achieved.

You’ll specifically take care of cost structure definition, cost optimization strategies, and tender validation processes, but also support value analysis and cost reduction initiatives.

We’ll look to you for:

• Preparing quick costing during the pre-tendering phase, leveraging product cost databases and project execution insights
• Defining cost structures and target costs in alignment with sales requirements and RFP terms
• Leading cost estimation activities and driving cost improvement actions to meet target costs
• Collaborating with the Finance Tender Manager to optimize financial costs and enhance overall competitiveness
• Ensuring consistency and robustness in costing through detailed analysis and validation processes
• Supporting project teams on costing for variation orders and design phase activities

• A degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
• Experience in costing, pricing, or bids, ideally within the railway, manufacturing, energy, or oil and gas sectors
• Knowledge of cost estimation, financial rules, and contractual aspects
• Familiarity with value analysis, product costing, and cost models
• A Certified Cost Professional (CCP) certification (desirable)
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to challenge and validate cost inputs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in diverse, multicultural teams
