We are currently looking to recruit a Zurich Site Controller (m/f/d) in Zurich, Switzerland

 

Your role:

The site of Zurich (RSC and HQ) is about 250 FTE. It is an engineering site and hosts the management functions of Switzerland as well as some group functions. It is also home to one of the innovation centers of Alstom. Your role is to lead, organize, manage and coordinate the financial activities of the Zurich site.

 

Responsibilities:

Financial Controlling and management

  • Responsible for site budget, 3 Year Plan, Rolling Forecast
  • Monitor financial flows and validate the final reports
  • Control, challenge and validate the financial data provided by the site functions (expenses, budget
  • Assist Site Managing Director in all financial matters
  • Responsible for providing accurate transparent information, support and performance enablers to the CH finance director and site management team
  • Interpretation of Data /Figures, risks or variance analyses
  • Interface between site functions
  • Monitor and forecast the QCD financial indicators of the sites concerned
  • Set targets and control the environment for the cost management within the sites to maximize performance.
  • Provide to business management financial support backed by consolidated data and analysis.
  • Provide all necessary analysis and assistance to the central management control team  
  • Develop Action plans to optimize performance and implement corrective actions
  • Follow restructuring and capacity extension plans if any
  • Manages project controlling

Reporting

  • Responsible for accurate closing
  • Set the environment to collect, consolidate, analyze and validate financial data
  • Validate the financial structure of the locations (processes and systems) to satisfy all internal and external requirements.
  • Comply with the reporting definitions of Alstom guidelines to provide consistent and informative management information and ensure compliance with Internal Control
  • Interface with regional and other country finance functions
  • Responsible for site external audit activities

Management

  • Coordinate the planning and budgeting scope, activities and schedule of the locations and set targets to produce reliable data, resource plans and budgets
  • Manage the site controlling team (2 person)

  • Forecasting accuracy above 95%
  • Achievement of budget targets
  • Full compliance with accounting and reporting standards

 

Requirements:

  • Master degree in Financial, Controlling, Accounting and related
  • Min. 7 years experience as a Controller or related
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Very good organizational skills
  • Paying attention to details
  • English – C1 level – must have
  • German – desirable
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Management experience
