Could you be the VIE Financial Controller in Zurich we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your financial expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and innovative team of professionals.

You'll play a key role in driving Alstom’s financial performance at the Zurich site by ensuring accurate reporting, analysis, and compliance with internal processes and directives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as R&D, Tender, and CAPEX teams), support month-end closing activities, and provide insightful recommendations to enhance financial outcomes.

You’ll specifically take care of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, but also support financial presentations for functional reviews and manage forex exposure.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Controlling expenses in accordance with internal control rules and instructions
  • Coordinating with R&D/Sustaining/Tender Program Managers for budget allocation
  • Supporting financial presentations for functional reviews (e.g., PRB)
  • Participating in month-end closing activities and ensuring timely reporting
  • Conducting deviation/alert analysis and providing actionable recommendations
  • Providing accurate data for budgeting processes
  • Managing forex hedging relations and reporting FX exposure
  • Assisting the Site Controller in monthly business reviews

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Experience in accounting, forecasting, and budgeting, preferably in an international group
  • Good business acumen and ability to use integrated financial systems
  • Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO/PS) and MS Office
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong finance knowledge
  • Knowledge of Alstom processes (highly desirable)
  • Fluent in English
