Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your technical leadership and traction system expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside passionate and highly skilled teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping next-generation traction systems for railway vehicles, driving performance, innovation, and sustainability. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (e.g., project management, engineering, and operations), manage resources and workloads, and foster continuous improvement initiatives, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of leading eight traction system engineers in areas such as requirements management, system performance, energy efficiency, and system compatibility, but also contribute to team development and process optimization.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Managing team members and onboarding new talent

  • Planning and assigning resources for execution and development projects

  • Leading the People Management Cycle (PMC), including development planning, objective setting, and performance assessments

  • Promoting and implementing continuous improvement initiatives

  • Providing technical and process expertise to support project execution

  • Developing team members' technical and leadership skills

  • Ensuring the application and improvement of standard processes, methodologies, and tools

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Engineer degree HF, FH or higher (Electrical)

  • Leadership training (CAS or equivalent) is a plus

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the traction systems domain

  • Preferred experience in team and project management (at least 3 years)

  • Strong stakeholder and communication skills

  • Ability to lead and motivate technical teams

  • Structured, solution-oriented mindset

  • Experience managing priorities and conflicts

  • Customer and product-oriented thinking

  • Fluent in German and English (reading, writing, and technical discussions)

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with innovative technologies shaping the future of rail mobility

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and supportive colleagues

  • Contribute to impactful and sustainable projects

  • Utilise our flexible and dynamic working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning

  • Progress towards broader leadership opportunities

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
