We are currently looking to recruit a Project Engineering Manager - PrEM (f/m/d) for our location in Zurich, Switzerland

 

Responsibilities:

  • Managing Project (or R&D) Engineering activities by delivering Engineering Work Package in compliance with the Engineering QCD commitment.
  • Representing Traction Engineering among project core team and manages interfaces with PrXMs and other PrEMs of Leading/Participating Units.
  • Managing functionally the project engineering core team and their commitment for the project.
  • Defining and applies the Engineering Management Plan.
  • Owning engineering work package and is responsible for it.
  • Following and updates baseline on a regular basis, validates Variation Orders demands (external or internal) requested by project, quotes them with involvement from metiers, and updates engineering work package accordingly.
  • Approving, as a member of CCB, applicable modifications on product, and updates QCD accordingly.
  • Plans necessary Design Reviews, makes sure they are done on-time and issues are opened in respective tool.
  • Is responsible for engineering points within DFQ Gate Review checklists, provides his prognostic and puts in place necessary actions to mitigate a No Go risk.
  • Managing Engineering risks mitigation and savings action plans.
  • Providing to his management regular reporting and performance analysis.

 

Qualifications:

  • Educational background: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Project execution/ Product development.
  • Being able to understand the organization, the processes and the products involved and decide independently when significant impact on QCD make it necessary to involve next level.
  • Experience with Propulsion system interfaces and project delivery in the same business.
  • Leadership skills to manage internal and external stakeholders to meet the required targets.
  • Teamworking and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English and German.
