In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, execute and managing test at our Rolling Stoke Vehicles (Locomotives, Trains, Light Rail Vehicles, etc.). You are member of our test team to secure the delivery of test related activities in quality, time, and cost (QTC) within the projects.
In this job you must be also willing to work in the field at our test sites in whole Europe (apx. 50 - 70% of your time).
Purpose of the Job
- He/she writes / review the Train test procedures
- He/she carries out type, validation or investigation tests, and preparing reports
- He/she defines and implements the most appropriate testing methodology and means of testing
- He/she develops test operating modes and analyses test results
Responsibilities:
Accountable for:
- Defining the most appropriate test methodology, testing means and developing the test operating mode in accordance within the costs
- time and pass-fail criterion set for the test.
Responsible for:
- Preparing the tests, he is responsible for:
- Participating in the design and the development of the tools necessary for performing the tests
- Implementing, verifying (functional), and ensuring compliance (calibration) of the measuring equipment to be ready at the time of the test.
- Preparing the equipment for testing. Validating that the applied configuration and prerequisite testing allows the testing to proceed.
- Respecting EHS rules notably implementing LockOutTagOut instruction.
- Supervising and/or executing test activities, analyzing test results “live” and deciding if test must be repeated or not
- Test results data analysis, writing static and dynamic test reports
Knowledge & Experience
- Expected skills according to a functional test:
- Functional test execution capability on some of the FBS functions of the following domains: Train network, TCMS software
- functions, TCMS electrical functions, Traction, Braking, Auxiliary supply and energy management, Doors, Signaling.
- Experience in TCMS development and/or validation.
- Knowledge of electrical vs software design on train.
- Languages: Fluent German & English
- Expected skills according to physical measurement tests:
- Physical test execution capability on some of the following domains: Aerodynamics / air passage, Dimensional & gauge,
- Electromagnetic Compatibility, Acoustics / noise, Railway dynamics, Weight management & allocation, Climatic comfort,
- Smoke detection / Fire protection system, Horn & headlights
- Ability to define, create and maintain test benches
- Software Validation
