PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The PI field engineer ATP / BRAKES is responsible for the PI field reliability growth on his dedicated sub-systems on the SBB FV-Dosto project.

 

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

  • Support actively depot activities with log analysis, troubleshooting and repair.
  • Contribute to improve depot team knowledge on those dedicated systems.
  • Develop diagnostics and repair cases in favor of the train repair guide.
  • Identify and report new critical issues with their impacts and set containment actions.
  • Categorize failure mode of occurred issues and material defects.
  • Pull and conduct in depth technical analysis and validation of new solutions in close collaboration with engineering department and suppliers.
  • Develop continuous improvement proposals in cooperation with the engineering team.
  • Contribute to improving maintenance efficiency and costs.

 

QUALIFICATION AND FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGES:

  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineer degree.
  • 2-3 years of experience in railway sector, in commissioning and testing.
  • Expertise in the operational field with focus on ATP and BRAKES systems.
  • Good reading of electrical diagrams.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Pack. Knowledge of a programming tool is a plus.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to convince internal and external interlocutors.
  • Flexibility, initiative and team spirit.
  • English and German mandatory (minimum B2 level), French will be a plus.
