We are currently looking to recruit a Rolling Stock Maintenance and Overhaul Manager based in Zurich/ Villeneuve, Switzerland. 

 

Purpose of the job 
As a key member of the Services Team Switzerland, the position holder will lead the Maintenance & Overhaul Program within the Service site in Zurich and Villeneuve in Switzerland to ensure an efficient operation. As well to drive financial results to achieve the financial growths plan of Alstom Services Switzerland and actively win new orders.
Customer focus and the ambition to reach service excellence is a must in this position. To reach these targets, the position holder will proactively interact with the different Customers, Service sites and other Business Units.

The Position Holder acts within the boundaries of the contract with the full power of the Value Chain x authority to deliver the object of the contract with full satisfaction to the customer. To this effect, he leads the Project in the successful completion of their assigned tasks within schedule, allocated budgets and scope to the required quality. The Position holder must ensure all risks and opportunities are properly addressed or mitigated.

The position holder will do so, by setting an example in his attitude, as a dynamic, accomplished and inspirational Contributor. Moreover, the job includes the design and deployment of Offering to the market to drive the growths plan of Alstom.

Key success factor is that the incumbent can use large amounts of detailed information for workable actions. He/she must understand the customers´ requirements and compile them into manageable processes and tasks, taking also the procurement market into consideration.

 

RESPONSIBILITES
•    Responsible of the offering process end to end, develop, create and Drive competitive bids & blue book in line with the overall bid strategy. Technical and quality control of the services bids
•    Drive Project Execution for the Services Business 
•    Accountability for all the work that is done on current and future projects. This means ensuring that the agreed scope is delivered on time, within the agreed budget and the right quality. It includes reporting on the progress of the work. Ensuring an integrated approach to design while developing and maintaining robust systems are used to minimize risk and optimizing costs. (Interface between Design Centers of Competence to resolve Project related issues associated with delivery of the Services.)
•    Drive commercial and contractual Negotiation with Customers to ensure financial Targets 
•    Planning and anticipating the needs for resources and ensuring capacity are available to execute and drive the projects with the required quality, on budget and on time.
•    Based on lessons learned, responsible for the development, communication, and adjustment of strategy and goals with appropriate reporting structure and Leadership Team. Responsible for the effective implementation of the processes and tools

 

REQUIREMENTS 
•    Technical (Electrical and Mechanical) and Commercial knowledge
•    Strong experience in Rolling Stock business 
•    Previous experience in driving Services growths Initiatives  
•    Leading Services Projects for Maintenance and Overhaul Programs
•    Build Maintenance and Overhaul organisations
•    Drive for results to achieve financial targets
•    Customer Negotiation with large operators
•    Allocation of resources within the Operations teams
•    English and German– fluent, French- is a plus.
