Could you be the full-time Systems Engineer in York or  Hatfield we’re looking for? 

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your systems engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll contribute to the development, adaptation, and delivery of SSI and SMARTLOCK products, systems, and processes for signalling systems in the UK and Ireland, ensuring optimal solutions with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and safety principles. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Safety Assurance, and Project Delivery), support the creation of Generic and Specific Application Safety Cases, and participate in systems integration and validation of technical documentation to verify compliance—and much more."

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Ensuring delivery of standardised objectives and optimum systems solutions on allocated projects.
  • Delivering project solutions with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and safety principles.
  • Participating in the development of new systems solutions.
  • Supporting safety assurance on the application of CSM for allocated projects/products, including the development of Generic and Specific Application Safety Cases.
  • Collaborating with the Systems Engineering Manager to establish matters of best practice.
  • Participating in systems integration, project deliverables, associated sub-systems, and validation of technical documentation to verify product and project compliance.
  • Supporting the product in the field by addressing technical issues and providing solutions.
  • Attending business and technical briefings to stay aligned with organizational and project goals.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of systems engineering processes and approaches.
  • Ensuring alignment with Alstom's values of leadership, resilience, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset.
