Your future role

 

Take on a new challenge and apply your Mechanical expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to the Senior Superintendent, and work alongside a close-knit team that support our QNGR project, based at the Wulkuraka Maintenance Facility.

You'll play a critical role in performing preventative and corrective maintenance, fault finding, diagnostics, rectification & post work testing, damage and vandalism rectification works, on the NGR fleet of trains. We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Performing fault diagnosis, identification and rectification on both the electrical and mechanical systems of the vehicle.
  • Performing damage and vandalism repairs as required, including data capture and effective use of the SAP system.
  • Liaising with the Technical Specialists / ISST teams in order to ensure repairs are effected with no impact to in service performance
  • Assist in the identification and production of vehicle modification programs to improve reliability and maintainability.
  • Performing post work testing and validation as necessary.
  • Building positive relationships with drivers and the Operator in order to support a successful fleet operation.
  • Updating the Maintenance Management System with all work carried out.

  • Deomstrated ability to fault-find, diagnose, repair and maintain mechanical systems.
  • Cert III Engineering (Mechanical Trade).
