Your future role

 

An opportunity has become available to join us as our Operational Excellence Lead for our ANZ Services QLD (Maintenance) business. Our Services business has a dedicated team of 800+ staff, who are based in multiple locations across VIC, NSW, QLD and WA. These teams operate 24/7 within fast-paced and dynamic maintenance depots, and are responsible for ensuring our train fleets and associated assets are safe and reliable.

 

Joining us in this critical role, you will lead the co-ordination and development of all aspects of Alstom Performance System - APSYS by working closely, and in partnership with Operational Management and site based personal. You will be responsible for APSYS target deliverables, embeding lead principles and improving local governance, process and practices. This role can be based in Wulkuraka or Gold Coast, with a requirement to be onsite regularly.

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Ensuring all APSYS self assessments scores reflect current status and are tracked in digital systems for both Wulkuraka and Gold Coast depots on a monthly basis.
  • Capture and manage accuracy of all APSYS improvement actions oin a central repository.
  • Ensure local effort is directed towards APSYS targeted areas as directed.
  • Managing the delivery of APSYS related training material as required.
  • Ensure evidence to captured to verify APSYS results.
  • Be proactive in identifying waste and local process improvements that will add avlue to project deliverables.
  • Lead process improvements on local sites.
  • Benchmarking and sharing best practice with other ALSTOM businesses and external companies, keeping abreast of new thinking on learning tools and technologies.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships, engage and influence at all levels.
  • Advanced investigative and analytical skills, to identify and implement best practice.
  • Strong leadership, project management, planning and organizational skills.
  • Experience in delivering training or mentoring with shop floor personnel.
  • Ability to quickly learn new digital tools and lead digital adoption across all levels of the organisation.
  • Ideally have a background in Quality, Engineering, Trade (Electrical, Mechanical or similar), and or experience in a similar role as a Project Manager or Continuous Improvement Lead
