Your future role

 

We have a rare opportunity available for an Maintenance Optimization Lead to join our team our team responsible for the maintenance of the NGR fleet. Based at our facility in Wulkuraka, this is a key leadership role reporting to the Engineering Manager, where you will primarily be responsible for the delivery of maintenance optimization projects for various rollingstock systems to support overhaul programs.

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Developing project governance on maintenance optimization and maintenance strategies.
  • Defining project deliverables, timelines and optimization benefits.
  • Leading a small team to deliver programs of maintenance optimization.
  • Using a risk-based approach to review overhaul schedules to challenge scope and frequency of works.
  • Evaluating SEMS requirements, OEM requirements and Contractual obligations for maintenance plan delivery.
  • Driving a collaborative approach in the review and approval on various stage gates of the program delivery
  • Working collaboratively with maintenance and overhaul planning teams, to define scopes of work required for overhauls.
  • Supporting the Engineering Manager to ensure contractual technical requirements are met including technical performances, RAMS (Reliability –Maintainability-Availability-Safety items), through maintenance optimization.
  • Interfacing with subject matter experts globally to obtain information on various systems.
  • Writing technical reports, risk assessments and leading the change management process.
  • Providing weekly and monthly reports on progress updates of the program delivery.

  • The demonstrated ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • A sound understanding of risk and risk-based decision making in an operational environment.
  • Significant experience in maintenance optimization, ideally within Rail/Rollingstock or a similar heavy industry.
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering are preferred, but not essential.
