Join Alstom on a permanent basis out of our Maintenance Facility in WULKURAKA, as an Industrial Quality Engineer. Responsible for implementing, managing, and improving all quality relevant elements in the execution of the Queensland New Generation Rollingstock (QNGR) contracts.

Represent Quality in the QNGR project team, driving for customer satisfaction through the project’s Safety and Quality Management Systems and leading quality and safety activities throughout Projects until contract closure.

 

Skills you will hold:

  • Investigating quality assurance control issues
  • Provide technical support to internal/external stakeholders on all quality-related matters.
  • Investigating and addressing quality concerns, working with stakeholders to resolve and implement corrective actions.
  • Organise relevant projects internal safety assessments and prepare the corresponding safety authorisation report.
  • Managing project material non-conformances, including facilitating all supplier interactions to reduce the costs of non-quality.
  • Coordinate and support customer or supplier inspections e.g. FAI, Acceptance.

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic)
  • Experience in people management and ability to positively influence in cross-functional distributed teams.
  • Awareness of Processes and Products delivery within a project environment.
  • Experience in managing Quality tools and problem-solving tools and quality standards (ISO9000 and ISO9001).
  • Technical Quality Management Systems experience including operational activities and documentation management.
