Your future role

 

We have an exciting opportunity available for an Industrial Engineer to join our team our team responsible for the maintenance of the NGR fleet. Based at our facility in Wulkuraka, you will be the key interface of the Engineering team to the Planning and Operations teams. You will continually improve the performance and condition of the QNGR fleet by creating and ensuring the Maintenance Guide and Manuals, work instructions add to the increased efficiency of the maintenance operations.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Investigating, analysing and rectification of fleet performance issues.
  • Support the Failure Review Board & FRACAS Process.
  • Assisting in the continuous review of maintenance regimes to optimise workflow.
  • Writing, obtaining approval and issuing Work Instructions, Lifting Plans, Modifications, Fleet Checks and Special Checks.
  • Delivering the first time implementation of operational activity.
  • Developing the concept designs for tooling and Fixtures to support rectification and overhaul works.
  • Liaising with external suppliers for tooling manufacturing.
  • Being an active part of the execution of the Maintenance Optimisation plan.
  • Supporting and executing the yearly Engineering Strategy, and Business Strategy.
  • Other engineering support activities, as required.

  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage your time effectively.
  • A positive attitude and a team player, who has the ability to build effective relationships with operational teams.
  • IT savvy with demonstrated experience using Microsoft office products.
  • Significant experience within maintenance engineering, ideally within Rail/Rolling stock or a similar heavy industry.
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience using CAD or design tools is preferred, but not essential.
