Your future role:

 

Alstom are seeking an accomplished and passionate Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) professional ready to take on a leadership role. Could you be the EHS & Rail Safety Manager to lead the Function for the QNGR contract at the Wulkuraka, QLD site operations that we are looking for?

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Conducting comprehensive EHS risk assessments, ensuring the implementation of effective measures to control and mitigate risks.

  • Leading the EHS function on each site, spearheading induction programs for new starters within your influential portfolio.

  • Providing crucial support for upcoming tenders, showcasing your expertise in shaping safety strategies.

  • Developing, deploying, and meticulously maintaining procedures and tools tailored for our EHS Management System, aligning seamlessly with Transport and standards.

  • Maintaining impeccable records and documentation of the site, demonstrating a keen eye for compliance with safety regulations.

  • Collaborating with business leaders to shape and enhance the EHS culture, employing your strategic influence where necessary.

  • Preparing and executing a robust EHS training plan and program with the support of HR, coupled with a localised EHS communication plan.

  • Leading and coordinating incident investigations.

  • Organising and leading internal EHS audits, ensuring a thorough inspection of the EHS reporting process.


About You: 

 

  • Qualifications in Workplace, Health and Safety (Diploma, Bachelors Degree or similar).

  • Demonstrate a profound understanding of local legal requirements, particularly in the context of Rail Safety.

  • Display initiative, drive, and resilience, coupled with the ability to influence individuals at all levels within the project.

  • Leverage previous experience in the rail industry or a similar safety-critical environment, illustrating your adaptability and expertise.

  • Exhibit a strong command of safe working systems, rules, and procedures.

  • Demonstrate a compelling ability to lead and motivate teams, consistently delivering desired results.
