Your future role
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Communications Advisor to join our ANZ Communications function. This role is flexible with a mixture of site and work from home days. Your main location will be shared between Wulkuraka and Milton and include other site locations such as Bowen Hills and the Gold Coast. Initially, you will be engaged on a 2 year fixed-term contract, however there is genuine potential for extension or to be become permanent.
This vital role is responsible for driving the reputation of Alstom’s ANZ business in Queensland through the delivery of highly impactful internal and external communication activities. Working directly with the Communications Manager overseeing ANZ Projects and across the broader communications function we are seeking a dynamic, skilled operator able to engage, influence and build effective networks across our business in Queensland. We’ll look to you for;
- Under the direction of the Communications Manager, managing internal and external communications specifically for our sites and projects in Queensland
- Collaborating with the Project Director for QNGR and leaders in Queensland to provide strategic counsel and advise to enable effective communications outcomes
- Developing and executing Communications plans including relationships with customer communications teams to promote Alstom’s reputation and building trust for Alstom with our key customer groups in Queensland
- Supporting local management in engaging employees around site priorities reinforcing the sense of belonging to Alstom, understanding our of strategy and building confidence in our delivery
All about you
We are seeking a proactive and creative individual with a strong strategic comprehension of how to build trust and reputation with a passion for developing and delivering engaging content. You will also have:
- Excellent communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to build relationship and influence across all levels.
- Strong background in internal communications including the planning and execution of activities and the ability to deliver impactful communications solutions to a diverse workforce
- Experience in external communications including the development of content on our owned social media channels across web, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram
- The ability to counsel and advise senior leaders on how to reach audiences
- A willingness and ability to travel across sites with an a minimum of 2+ days based at our maintenance facility on Wulkuraka
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing or Business preferred but not essential
