As QLD’s QNGR rail project continues forward, we have the rare privilege of offering the ongoing position of Certification and Acceptance Manager to the market. 


This is a highly sought after role due to the key liaison with our customer, team leadership responsibilities and critical influence this role has. As such, we expect interest from certification & acceptance specialists, experienced and developing project managers and engineers with a proven certification background, ideally within the rail or air industries. The position manages the end-to-end process of achieving certification of the QLD Rail safety certificate and manages the interactions with all internal and external stakeholders. Leading a small team and based at the Alstom Wulkuraka facility (Ipswich, QLD), the successful incumbent will have some experience managing the certification process for a complex project with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. 


Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager and accountable for coordinating the train acceptance process, documentation and activities, we are looking for; 

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and people skills and a genuine desire to work in a role where you can bring together multiple people to achieve a critical outcome
  • Existing operational knowledge of the acceptance and certification process 
  • Comprehensive understanding of key certification requirements, vehicle acceptance management plans and technical documentation related to train acceptance
  • Team leadership experience (direct or indirect) and solid awareness & modelling of a safety first culture
