Could you be the full-time Methods & Tools Junior Engineer (VIE) in Vienna, Austria we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a dynamic and innovative field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, forward-thinking, and supportive teammates.
You'll play a key role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of methodologies for Alstom tools usage, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Métier, Key-Users, and M&T Communities), assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and provide functional support to our teams, among other responsibilities.
You’ll also take care of coordinating and performing tool trainings and refresh sessions at the local level.
We’ll look to you for:
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of methodologies for Alstom tools usage
- Collaborating with Métier to define functional validation plans and integration interfaces
- Assisting in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and consolidating feedback
- Defining deployment plans and setting progress KPIs
- Training and developing Engineering users on methodologies and tools
- Participating in training sessions and providing Level 2 functional support

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a comparable qualification
- Interest in Engineering processes, tools for Product Data/Lifecycle Management, and Task Management
- Experience in reporting activities with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas (programming knowledge is a plus)
- Fluent English written and spoken (German is a plus)
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to lead and participate in global conference calls
- Adaptability, resilience, and the ability to manage change effectively
- Experience managing global versus local end-to-end added value
- Ability to work with functional and geographically distant networks
- Similar professional experience is a plus
