Could you be the next Project Supply Chain Leader in Vienna, Austria we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

From Vienna to the world: our Viennese site is a global competence center for trams and light rail vehicles. 800 colleagues develop and manufacture the Flexity™ tram for worldwide customers from Austria to Australia. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report to Bianca Wrba (Director Supply Chain, Vienna) and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team. You'll manage your Supplier's portfolio (Internal and/or External suppliers) for ensuring goods delivery at the right time and place based on Alstom needs. You’ll specifically express delivery needs to suppliers and animate the Supplier's delivery performances and drive action plans for performance improvement & contribute to risk management.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Launch and manage Part Maturity Follow Up based on engineering data (enriched by industrials)

  • Identifies suppliers requiring capacity check and improvement plans. Launch actions with material planners

  • Monitor order placement process prior to order entry into the system. Overlooks that clerical tasks for order creation and entry are done on time, including incoterms & customs clearance 

  • Coordinates all internal and external actors of the project to ensure on time placing of the orders: 

    • Monitor interfaces between Sourcing and Project (design, co-design, modification proposals, …)

    • Identifies critical sourcing path based on standard lead times

    • Validates Project planning for Sourcing activities in relation with Sourcing Management and ensure planning follow up with potential suppliers during co-design phase

    • Checks all specifications are available prior to negotiation (technical, quality, logistics, costs)

    • Support negotiations for logistics aspects 

    • Evaluate impact/risk of modifications on production planning

    • Escalade alerts if milestones not met on time

  • Interface with Production Planning to validate Master Production Schedule feasibility based on procurement plans

  • Escalade alerts when major issues in serial phase with suppliers requiring support of Commodities

  • Proactive attitude and taking the initiative when it comes to problem solving

  • Focused on reaching the targets

  • Experience in working with SAP ERP and experienced in working with Microsoft Excel

  • Very good German and English language skills is mandatory

The minimum salary for this position is € 56.000 EUR gross annually for full-time employment according to the collective bargaining agreement.
