 We are looking for Discipline Engineer Composite Materials and Composite Design

in Vienna, AUSTRIA

 

As Discipline Engineer composite materials and composite design, you will be responsible for developing and specifying composite parts and assemblies.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve design concepts for composite parts and assemblies.
  • Define and perform structural analysis on composite parts.
  • Define composite formula based on interdisciplinary requirements from mechanical, environmental, fire safety and productional departments.
  • Take autonomous tasks of minor to major composite-related sub-projects regarding engineering work.
  • Prepare documentation to support design reviews, tests, technical meetings and sizing process.
  • Develop test concepts for composite components and assemblies, including related test requests and test data analysis.
  • Constant 3D-Mock-up reviews on composite parts and assemblies.
  • Support on mechanical design of composite parts from concept phase till series-production readiness.
  • Apply discipline rules, collect “Lessons learned” and intimate the internal Experts Network

Qualifications:

  • University degree Materials or Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor/Master of Science or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years of experience in R&D, Design in Aeronautical, Automotive or Railways engineering department.
  • Detailed knowledge of composite materials
  • Good Knowledge on composite design.
  • Basic knowledge on mechanical design.
  • Good knowledge to review 3D mock-up.
  • Good communication skills, pro-activity and team working.
  • Fluent German, good level in English

 

The minimum salary for this position is € 3.200 gross / month (14 x) for full-time employment according to the collective bargaining agreement. Overpayment depends on relevant work experience and qualifications
