Could you be the full-time Data Scientist in VIENNA we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your data science expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Franz Santner, Services Engineering Manager, and work alongside passionate, motivated and dedicated teammates.

Within the project engineering team, you will be responsible for setup and run the "Prognostic Tool".

You’ll specifically collate & structure remote diagnostic data, system downloads and depot reports for service failures and analyse data in order to:

  • identify any failure trends/anomalies and inform Engineering/Reliability Teams of possible improvements
  • identify any minor failures that may require preventative maintenance
  • provide detailed reports of system performance

Day-to-day, you’ll explore data, find new relationships and patterns, create and implement new data algorithms in order to create predictive maintenance models, to improve asset life-cycle, increase vehicle availability and automate processes.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Building learning models (including unsupervised predictive models and simulation tools)
  • Boosting performance and enhancing customer experience
  • Define standard rules to analyse vehicle diagnostic data
  • Raise change request to improve diagnostic information collected by the vehicles
  • Participate to critical taskforce dedicated to troubleshooting if necessary
  • Report regularly and accurately on the performance of the fleet, for internal use and to the customer
  • Highlight any anomalies in system performance or component failures as present in the data
  • To provide the System, Maintenance development and Reliability engineers with specific analyses

  • Degree or Master’s in Electronics, Mechatronics or Engineering
  • Training in data mining/machine learning/computer science/operational research or applied mathematics
  • Passion for developing efficient, testable, scalable, and well-documented rules
  • Experience and understanding of two areas: software development/data analytics/machine learning/AI
  • Being detail-oriented, with an analytical, solution-focused approach
  • Experience in Maintenance & Warranty Support
  • Good understanding of train function
  • German and English language mandatory

The minimum salary for this position is € 42.250 € gross annually for full-time employment according to the collective bargaining agreement. Overpayment depends on relevant work experience and qualifications.
