As a Control Engineer, you will be responsible for executing control engineering activities across one or more functions—from system architecture to detailed specifications, interface definitions, and logical diagrams. You will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality train control solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and specify control solutions (low voltage and software) aligned with customer requirements.
  • Deliver engineering outputs including Functional Specifications, Electrical Schemes, Software Specs, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
  • Collaborate with System Engineers, Subsystem Managers, and the Train Control project team.
  • Manage and resolve Change Requests (CRs) related to your function.
  • Support supplier interface tests, train integration, and validation activities.
  • Promote standardization and reuse of reference functions across projects.
  • Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement within the EDU.

Education: Master’s or Engineering degree from an accredited university or engineering school.

Experience:

    • Functional engineering experience in rolling stock.
    • Electrical and schematic design experience.
    • 1–2 years in electrical, electromechanical, or automation (PLC) engineering.
    • Familiarity with industrial communication networks (Serial, Ethernet, MVB).
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Customer-focused mindset.
    • Fluent in English and the local language is an advantage.

The minimum salary for this position is € 47.546,94 EUR gross annually for full-time employment according to the collective bargaining agreement.
