We are currently looking to recruit a  Carbody Design Engineer(m/f/d) in Vienna, Austria.

 

Your role:

Managing Computer Aid Designer (CAD), activities and deliverables on Carbody Domain on the project in compliance with Quality Cost and Delivery (Date) commitments. You will be also responsible for applying applicable Engineering instructions, processes & tools.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performing, managing and verifying 3D, design annotations and 2D deliverables in compliance with QCD commitments, Metier rules and processes
  • Realizing stack-up analysis
  • Realizing Bill of Material
  • Planning and piloting Domain activities of Carbody and related deliverables on a project taking into account applicable instructions/processes and other specific Customer (internal or external) requirements
  • Designing products taking into account project requirements (performances, manufacturability, serviceability, testability, etc.)
  • Preparing and documenting Carbody Domain Design Reviews according to project schedule and following up on the main open actions
  • Resolving Project Mechanical issues in assigned zone
  • Reporting on Carbody Domain activities progress and alerting relevant stakeholders in case of issue potentially impacting achievement of QCD commitments
  • Respecting and/or allocating requirements and mechanical interfaces to Carbody Domain (Allocated volume, weight, location, 3PL, etc.)
  • Analysing change request impacts on Carbody and applying change if request accepted
  • Validating relevant Carbody Domain deliverables and securing planning
  • Perform quotation of the engineering work package, upon request
  • Defining Project Mechanical Decomposition (PBS)
  • Supporting Sourcing, Industrialization and Manufacturing teams during Production ramp-up
  • Collaborating with MDL for continuous improvement of the Carbody Domain (including RoE)

 

 

Requirements:

  • Mechanical Engineering preferably applied to Railway products with 2 to 3 years of experience
  • Catia V5 experienced knowledge is a must
  • Fluent English is a must
  • German basics in reading/writing (min B1 / B2) is a must
  • Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or relevant
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer)
  • Time management and reporting skills
  • Sense of urgency/priority
  • Structured and organized with a Hands-on approach
  • SAP basic knowledge
  • Willingness for occasional business trips

The minimum salary for this position is € 3 300 gross/month on a full-time basis.
