Your Future Role
From Vienna to the world: our Viennese site is a global competence center for trams and light rail vehicles. 800 colleagues develop and manufacture the Flexity™ tram for worldwide customers from Austria to Australia. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to Valerie Zausch, HR Director PL RSC Light Rail CNE and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We’ll look for you to :

Act as a trusted HR partner to the business, maintaining close proximity to managers and employees, understanding their needs, advising leadership on HR policies and processes, and translating business priorities into effective HR actions aligned with Group and Regional cluster strategy.

Ensure strong workforce planning and recruitment delivery, anticipating manpower needs, securing project staffing and site HR support on time, building internal and external talent pipelines, personally assessing key candidates, influencing hiring decisions, and ensuring high‑quality onboarding and probation follow‑up.

Drive robust total rewards and people cost management, ensuring accurate job grading, and incentive payments, market alignment of C&B practices, follow‑up of incentive schemes, and full accountability for HR budget planning and execution.

Develop organizational capability and talent, reinforcing managers’ ownership of people management, deploying performance management and People Review processes, defining development and training plans, delivering key HR training programs, and supporting succession planning and retention of critical talent.

Ensure operational excellence, compliance, and performance measurement, guaranteeing data accuracy in HRIS, deploying HR tools and metrics, maintaining sound industrial relations, supervising local HR operations, ensuring policy compliance, and monitoring HR performance through defined KPIs and stakeholder feedback.

University degree in human resources, psychology, business studies, social sciences, economics, or a related discipline.

Solid experience in a generalist HR role, covering the full scope of HR management practices within a comparable industrial or project-oriented environment.

Ability to work in a very dynamic enviroment, influence and operate with strong resilience in a matrix organization, building strong relationships with managers and stakeholders across different functions and levels.

Acting as a strong driver to enforce HR processes by influencing the business constantly.

Strong expertise in employment law, employee relations, payroll matters, and organizational change, and are comfortable advising management on sensitive and complex people topics.

Fluency in English, both written and spoken, and confidence in working in an international environment.

Knowledge of the German language is an advantage.
