Alstom is looking for an experienced engineer to provide vehicle level electrical support in both power distribution and system integration on Alstom's Automated People Movers. In this position, the engineer will:
- Perform trade off studies on architecture definition and technically lead the engineering studies in order to reach the specified functional vehicle performances;
- Develop EMC requirements for all subsystems and work with system EMC engineers to provide integrated system solutions;
- Work with train control software engineers to develop and maintain conventional train control functional architecture while maintaining high level vehicle functional drawings;
- Develop and maintain transient model of vehicle subsystem for troubleshooting and development;
- Develop and manage electrical power interfaces between subsystem users and power supply system for various projects;
- Support detail design of components by subsystem engineers;
- Support vehicle distribution strategy for total integrated solution.
In addition to design activities, this position will necessitate requirements management skills to ensure all customer and internal expectations are met while providing a reliable and safe vehicle. The engineer will be expected to provide integration solutions with full access to the product during the manufacturing process. Among other activities, the engineer will be responsible for creation and maintenance of electrical architecture drawings, vehicle reports, development of vehicle level test requirements, requirements management.
Requirements:
- Familiar with Engineering Drawings (CADD Skills helpful but not required), MS Office Suite, DOORS Requirements management system or equivalent, MagicDraw, Saber Simulation Software
- 10+ Years experience System Engineering, Electrical Domain
- Bachelor's degree + Advanced Degree
- Fluent English
