Could you be the full-time hybrid Traction Test Engineer in West Mifflin, PA, US we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your innovative and technical expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated, collaborative teammates. You'll contribute to the advancement of greener and smarter mobility by developing essential test equipment and software for railway systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Industrialization), managing design changes and ensuring the delivery of equipment aligns with project schedules and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Developing Test Package Set which includes Software Requirement Specification (SRS), Test Fixture, and Test Software using National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand,

  • Peer Review of team member deliverables; SRS, Test Fixture Design, Test Software, Test Documentation,

  • Creating Test Package Sets for electronic modules, both Power and Low Voltage,

  • Gaining full technical understanding of the module assigned,

  • Developing Test Software Documentation to IEEE-1012 standard,

  • Collaborating with purchasing, quality, and industrialization functions for successful equipment delivery,

  • Traveling to customer sites for equipment installation, qualification testing, and providing customer training,

  • Creating/reviewing component level diagnostic software.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field,

  • Experience or understanding of Bench Test Equipment design or related work,

  • Knowledge of software development using National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand,

  • Familiarity with cable modeling software, simulation software, and product lifecycle management tools,

  • Knowledge and compliance with EHS rules/standards,

  • Adaptability and willingness to travel to customer sites for equipment installation and training.
