As an Electrical Traction Engineer, you will be responsible for the detailed Electrical Power Design of Propulsion equipment for railway systems. 

 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Calculating electrical or thermal constraints related to components of the power scheme to fulfil all requirements
  • Specifying the Electrical components of the Traction drives or Auxiliary Converter
  • Defining the interfaces of electrical components with mechanical department
  • Preparing the power design reviews and participates in technical core team meetings
  • Contributing to the design validation plan (FMEA, risk mitigation plan (mock-up, tests, …))
  • Collaborating with purchasing, quality, and industrialization functions to ensure successful delivery of equipment to customers
  • Managing design change and waiver requests related to non-compliances

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Power Electronics design, or related work
  • Fluent in English
  • Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage project tasks
  • Knowledge and compliance of EHS rules/standards
  • Professional Ethics and a sense of responsibility
  • Team Player

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience may be considered

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Skilled practice of cable modeling software, simulation software, and product lifecycle management tools
