Could you be the full-time Traction Design Engineering Manager, in West Mifflin, PA we’re looking for? 

 

As a Traction Design Engineering Manager, you will manage and control all Traction Design engineering-related activities on projects to deliver on requirements, budget and schedule.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Lead all aspects of Traction Inverter design (electrical and mechanical), implementation, testing and commissioning required to deliver the scope of the engineering project so as to satisfy customer requirements while adhering to project budgets and schedules;
  • Establish and maintain interfaces with other Engineering departments and with relevant functions (Project Management, Procurement, Operations, Sales, Bids);
  • Ensure that relevant skills are kept up to date in the Traction Design Engineering Function in order to fulfill project requirements.
  • Managing the forecast of the Site workload, based on hypotheses provided by the workload manager and identifying necessary resources to secure project QCD commitments.
  • Ensuring the Engineering rules & processes are understood and applied.

 

Key requirements:

 

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering;
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience post graduate in the railway industry;
  • Minimum five (5) years of management experience;
  • Excellent English communication skills, advanced both written and spoken.
