Could you be the full-time Project Manager in West Mifflin, PA, US (Pittsburgh area) we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your project management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and dynamic teammates. You'll drive project success by ensuring optimal Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance (QCDP) outcomes, while fostering customer satisfaction and strengthening stakeholder relationships. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as sub-system/component managers, operational teams, and senior management), lead and coordinate project activities and resources, and ensure compliance with internal standards and contractual requirements, and much more.
We’ll look to you for:

Being accountable for project Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Performance (QCDP) performance and optimizing project financial performance (Margin & Cash),

Leading and coordinating project activities and stakeholders from transfer to close-out, ensuring proper transfer from tender to project,
-
Defining project strategy in line with contract requirements, including Project Management Plan (PMP) elaboration and objectives allocation to Sub-Systems,
-
Managing resources by defining project core team staffing and escalating when project resources do not match needs,
-
Leading project teams, including Core Teams and Project Managers of internal and external partners, to ensure alignment towards project goals,
-
Proactively managing risks, savings, and opportunities,
-
Monitoring project progress, managing KPIs, and reporting transparently to senior management during business/critical project reviews,

Managing customer and external stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and serving as Alstom’s representative towards customers and external stakeholders,

Ensuring compliance with applicable rules, instructions, and standards, including Code of Ethics & Compliance, EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety), Railway Safety, Quality, and the Project Management Manual.

Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Bachelor's required, Master's preferred),

Minimum 5 years of experience in project management in multi-national companies and diverse business cultures,

Knowledge of project management processes, including QCDP (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Performance) principles,
- A certification such as PMP, PRINCE 2, or IPMA Level C is highly desired,
-
Strong communication and negotiation skills,
-
Leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to coordinate multi-site/multi-functional teams,
-
An entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on achieving results,

Proficiency in managing customer relationships and external stakeholders,
- Familiarity with railway products, systems, and contract management - desired.
