The Methods & Tools Industrial Quality Technician ensures the compliance of products and parts delivered by the ALSTOM facilities. He / She performs is responsible for control and correctness of the as built configuration, inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures according to the applicable instructions on products ready for delivery and on products during their manufacturing process.  He / She validates manufacturing control plans. These control plans are written in close relationship with PME teams.

Accountabilities & Authorities:

  • Manage Industrial Quality Methods & Tools activities
  • Develop and deploy processes, tools & quality standards (e.g. Quality Control Plan) with industrial teams
  • Ensure Detection improvement. Thanks to innovation implementation linked to digital tools
  • Develop Standard Quality Board
  • Manage Quality activities related to digital tools (Quality Key User): GSI (Global Single Instance) & AOS (Advanced Operation System)
  • Deliver Industrial Quality Standard Trainings
  • Manage activity related to car history book (Traceability, configuration, …)
  • Define Workstation audits planning, adherence & Build Improvement Plan at site level based on REX
  • Accountable for MMD (Monitoring & Measuring Device) & Material testing activities (if applicable) according to QUA-PRO-006
  • Manage APSYS improvement plan for Industrial Quality requirements (Q09 to Q13 items)

Performance measurements:

  • Quality documentation deployed at the pre-series / serial start stage
  • Metrology activity: Zero tools of control / manufacture in delay of control
  • Workstation Audit : Planning accuracy & Non-Conformity occurrence reduction
  • Dashboard deployed and up to date
  • APSYS measurement for the Industrial Quality Road Map

Educational Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Associates degree, technical major preferred.
  • Must be able to read drawings / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment.
  • Qualified on special process of his/her scope of work.
  • Advocate & leverage digital capabilities

Desirable:

  • Railway experience a "plus".

Experience

Mandatory:

  • 4+ years quality inspection experience within manufacturing industry.
  • Awareness on processes and products delivered in the project.
  • Emerging management experience

Desirable:

  • Experience in Quality / audit are appreciated.
  • 5 years experiences in Industrial

Competencies & Skills

  • Ability to work in a matrix organization Rigor & communication
  • Technical mastering of railway products
  • Knowledge of Quality standard (ISO9001, IRIS, CMMI, …) and quality tools.
  • Experience in operational activities, in documentation management & collaboration and team working.
