Could you be the full-time onsite Manufacturing Engineer in West Mifflin, PA, US we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your manufacturing engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and collaborative teammates. You'll define and validate detailed manufacturing processes for new products, impacting the company's ability to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Process Engineers, Product Industrial Managers, and Production), participate in continuous improvement workshops, and much more.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Bringing ideas to the Process Engineer or the PIM to guide product definition in order to improve product manufacturability and achieve QCD targets,

  • Participating in product design reviews and estimating Method Time during specification and preliminary design phases,

  • Participating in P-FMEA and validating prototypes if any during the detailed design phase,

  • Requesting tooling when needed and writing tooling specifications, ensuring good EHS and ergonomic conditions,

  • Calculating precise Method Time before Serial Go,

  • Industrializing retrofit after engineering changes, supporting Production to achieve manufacturing QCD targets, and participating in continuous improvement workshops after serial Go,

  • Maintaining a conscientious commitment to deliver, fostering a team player spirit, and demonstrating decisiveness with a self-motivated attitude


All about you

  • Degree in engineering or related field,

  • Experience or understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably in the railway industry,

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering and writing manufacturing work instructions,

  • Familiarity with an ERP system, such as SAP, for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up,

  • Technical acumen in Quality, EHS standards, and Ergonomics,

  • Ability to conduct Process FMEA and QRQC,

  • Conscientiousness with a commitment to deliver results,

  • Self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset,

  • Logical and organized approach to problem-solving
