Join us as ITC Factory Test Lead, and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in West Mifflin - LCS (PA), US.

 

The Services Test & Commissioning engineer is responsible to support customer acceptance in due time for the given renovation/modernization project, comply with T&C Work Package QCD commitments/EHS requirements and ensure REX is provided to Service platforms.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

Commissioning & Test

  • Define clear and exhaustive Train Acceptance Criteria based on contractual requirements
  • Create contract T&C documentation (tests programs, tests description, delivery planning, acceptance criteria, jigs and special tools, records, associated workload and workstation organization
  • Support inbound inspection and baseline condition test assessment
  • Define the expected vehicle configuration and quality level at the “Hand Over from Production" milestone.
  • Implement validation and certification type tests
  • Perform Serial testing Commissioning
  • Organise dynamic test runs including drivers, interfacing with customer as required.
  • Apply 5S at corresponding work areas

 

Reporting

  • To comply with the project’s T&C QCD commitments, acting as Work Package Owner where applicable
  • Prepare and submit routine commissioning reports
  • Support and supervise the global customer acceptance performance for the T&C scope of work.
  • To capture and report non conformities and ensure they are properly managed and closed, liaising with engineering, validation, RAMS, manufacturing and site Quality as appropriate
  • To ensure REX is fully taken into account and reported back to the Services Platform

 

Interfaces

  • Efficient and transparent interface with the Warranty/Maintenance Implementation teams working in customer’s depots,

 

EHS

  • Ensures EHS and AZDP rules are fully respected in the project T&C scope.
  • Report Deviations, Near-misses and Accidents

 

Training

  • Provide technical training to team members and customer if required

 

As our ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 6 years of experience in either Engineering or railway projects ( 4 years experience may substitute for degree, if necessary)
  • Technical experience and expertise in rolling stock test & commissioning
  • Trouble-shooting skills
  • Project management experience, able to motivate others
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Logical, pragmatic approach
