Could you be the full-time onsite Electrical Engineer in West Mifflin, PA, US we’re looking for?


Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your electrical engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a key role in designing and integrating electrical systems for Automated People Mover vehicles, ensuring reliable and safe operation. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including manufacturing, procurement, and cross-functional engineering disciplines, to ensure seamless implementation of electrical components, create and maintain electrical drawings, and support power system studies such as fault current analyses and load flow calculations, and much more."

We’ll look to you for:

  • Specifying electrical apparatus to be used on projects. ,

  • Producing vehicle electrical schematic diagrams, project apparatus specifications, and managing the release of all wire lists and bills of material associated with the vehicle. ,

  • Selecting high and low voltage cables and over-current protective device sizing/distribution. ,

  • Applying general knowledge of both power and communication network signals. ,

  • Selecting detailed design distribution equipment such as various connectors and associated piece parts while maintaining a system-level understanding of the entire vehicle electrical system. ,

  • Collaborating with cross-functional groups and various disciplines to ensure products are properly implemented into vehicle structures. ,

  • Developing management skills to ensure all customer and internal expectations are met while delivering a reliable and safe vehicle. ,

  • Providing hands-on integration assistance with full access to the product during the manufacturing process. ,

  • Creating and maintaining electrical drawings and bills of material, component selection, test procedures, requirements management, and providing manufacturing and procurement support. ,

  • Supporting power system studies such as protective device coordination, fault current analyses, load flow analyses, and incident energy calculations."

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. ,

  • Experience or understanding of electrical or power distribution engineering (5-8 years). ,

  • Knowledge of electrical principles, including cabling, circuit breaker selection, and power system studies. ,

  • Familiarity with relay logic and E3 schematic software. ,

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. ,

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset. ,

  • Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and priorities. ,

  • Hands-on experience with integration and manufacturing processes. ,

  • Resilience in managing complex design and implementation challenges. ,
