Could you be the Senior Project Contract Manager based at our West Melbourne depot we’re looking for?

 

Your future role:

 

As Senior Project Contract Manager, you will take on an exciting new challenge and apply your contract management expertise in a dynamic, innovative sector. Reporting to the Product Line Project Contract Manager Lead, you will collaborate with a talented and diverse team supporting our Maintenance Services contract, RRSMC. Based at the West Melbourne depot, you will undertake a key role in providing contract and commercial guidance to the Project Director and leadership team, while leading, coaching, and mentoring a team - providing hands-on support and guidance as needed.

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Delivering high-level commercial and contractual advice to drive project success
  • Proactively identifying commercial risks, opportunities, and value-adding strategies
  • Representing the project commercially with confidence in front of our customer
  • Partnering closely with the legal team to negotiate and finalise settlements
  • Overseeing the preparation and issuance of formal notices, correspondence, and claims
  • Stepping in to support the team with complex contract management tasks when required

 

All about you:

 

  • Degree in Engineering or Legal is highly regarded
  • Highly professional and polished, with a proven ability to represent an organisation commercially at senior levels
  • Strong track record in developing commercial strategies and spotting contractual risks and opportunities
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage, influence, and build trust with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and managing teams effectively
  • Maintenance services delivery experience in rail, transport, heavy industry, or a closely related sector.
