Position summary:
Alstom’s V/Line Maintenance project is responsible for the management of the maintenance of the V/Line Rolling Stock Fleet. As a maintenance planner in the Classic Fleet team, you will be assisting to maintain V/Line’s Classic Fleet of 1950s-1990s built locomotives, carriages, and Sprinter DMUs. These trains are a key part of the V/Line Fleet, transporting passengers throughout regional Victoria. The successful applicant will be providing support for the execution of the maintenance regime and the V/Line Classic Fleet modifications programs. This role is ideal for an experienced planner, with highly developed communication skills, who can draw upon their previous knowledge to support the management of the vehicles. Relevant experience in rail or an equivalent industry is desirable. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the modifications program on the vehicles; corrective maintenance planning and supporting the planning team with the execution of the maintenance regime.
 
Key Requirements:

  • Relevant training i.e. asset management, maintenance or operational planning, engineering.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in planning.
  • Experience in a regulated industry e.g. rail, defense, mining, or transport is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in CMMS (Maximo).
  • Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to target your audience.
  • An understanding of the principles of asset management including the management of preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Proficiency with MS office suite (including Excel and MS Project).
