Your future role

You'll play a critical role in leading a team of facility coordinators and engineers to maintain the RRSMC facilities and associated project works. This role will be based at  West Melbourne, however there will be some travel to other locations in VIC.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Leading and managing a team of facilities coordinators and facilities engineers.
  • Managing the third part contractors, maintenance services providers and utility providers.
  • Assessing and implementing process changes to improve the effectiveness of the Facilities Maintenance function.
  • Managing the relationship and interface between V/Line, VicTrack and Alstom related the Facilities Maintenance function.
  • Identifying areas in the facilities that could be improved or upgraded  to  improve safety and maintenance practices.
  • Notify the Fleet Planning function of upcoming facilities maintenance events that will impact the fleet maintenance activities.
  • To manage rostering facilities maintenance function.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills with the proven ability to influence at all levels.
  • The demonstrated ability to successfully lead and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Significant experience in a similar role within Facilities Maintenance.
  • Experience developing and implementing procedures, work instructions and maintenance instructions (preferred).
  • Engineering degree or relevant trade qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical.
