The Maintenance Manager will be based in Wellington New Zealand, you will hold a central role in the Signalling Maintenance operations for the Support Services Agreement (SSA). Following the delivery of a Traffic Management Signalling System, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the performance, reliability and safety of the System during the operational phase.  

 

This is an opportunity to grow, embrace challenges and build skills all while taking part in a thriving and developing Industry. Within this environment, you will be leading, coordinating and managing the project contract, system performance and its related financial performance.

 

  • Organize and structure the project; coordinating the project team and activities
  • Support and solve complex system problems and situations that may arise during the System operations on the clients rail network. This includes other staff within the project as well as international locations where the Signalling product owner resides for the Generic Application (GA) portion of the System.
  • Managing people and products, they will oversee the detailed project, process and operational performance. As the main entry point for the project their responsibilities include coordination with overseas subsystem experts, safety assurance quality and the mitigation of solutions so as to keep a safe and reliable system running.
  • Liaise with the D&IS Services organisation to manage all engineering activities and report to assist the DNIS Organisation in the achievement of the SSA project objectives and KPIs.
  • Synthetic and clear communication is expected from the Maintenance Manager coordinator, with a capacity to drive details analysis when necessary and to lead technical decisions.

 

Key responsabilities

  • Engineering Test obligations ie. standard, process/directive, regulation and ensure the engineering team follows and deliver to it.
  • Recognize if any changes/impact to obligations and raise change request awareness
  • Document results of executed test cases, analysis and support, fault rectification,test environment specification and test record.
  • Prepare tests procedure, maintenance procedure and their execution.
  • Produce system test report, Record,
  • Manage integration at RMS and coordinate the RMS integration (GA level).
  • Monitor and follow up on the project finance

 

What you need:

  • Keen interest in the discipline of Quality and Process, Data Analysis.
  • Willing and able to travel and work various shifts as required
  • Previous Maintenance management, railway industry exposure
  • Experience of other safety-critical systems
