This position is based in our Villeurbanne site which is, with more than 800 employees, center of excellence for Signalling activities –  Our mission is to provide to our customers complete signalling systems, which allow them to operate lines with the best performances and in complete safety. Our site is focused on French market and on Metro worldwide market with innovating systems: R&D, development and project execution are our core business.



Integrated to France Signalling Sourcing teams, you report to the Sourcing Manager (Tenders & Projects), your goal is to secure that suppliers Quality Cost Delay (QCD) performances are in line with objectives for defined project(s).

You are the main interface between tender and/or project & sourcing.



Your main missions are :

1. Manage the sourcing activity in tender  phase

- Build the Sourcing QCD commitment and supplier award strategy in tender stage

- negotiate and conclude early supplier agreement through MoUs

- Participate to the tender team (Bid & Cost managers, Bid director etc) routines & reviews on behalf of the sourcing organization

- Ensure smooth transition between the tender and project phase


2. Communicate project needs and ensures they are properly taken into account

- Organize launch meeting toward Domain & commodity buyers

- Challenge new gaps compared to tender commitments, incorporates Return on Experience, escalate if any critical delay is occurring in specification availability, facilitates co-operation between Engineering and Sourcing,

- Publish the specific legal requirements to be taken into account in negotiation.


3. Manage the Material Work Package

- Review periodically the QCD material scope (Work packages) with the stakeholders, establish a robust “at completion” vision, taken into account risks, ambitions and incertitudes

- Establish bridge analysis at each Sourcing Project Review cycle

- Engage the claim process for the Cost Of Non-Quality incidents

- Negotiate and place orders in order to support project execution



Diploma/Degree level (or similar level of formal qualification) in Engineering and/or Business.

You have at least 5 years of Sourcing experience within industrial organization with complex projects. 

You are able to demonstrate good negotiation, synthesis and communication skills.

In parallel you bring significant customer and results orientation.

English mandatory – a few travels required
