The internship will take place in the Innovation team.

As part of Alstom's innovation programmes on autonomous rail vehicles, our teams are developing a remote train control solution. The solutions implemented incorporate the latest technological advances in terms of ergonomics and perception of the environment. A drone train prototype has been designed and field-tested by the innovation team. Following trials on this prototype, improvements have been identified to enhance the ergonomics and user experience of the remote driver.

What are your missions ?

The trainee will be responsible for contributing to the development of user interfaces in order to improve the prototype. He/she will be responsible for :
- Getting to grips with the existing solution,
- Analysing functional requirements and mock-ups in collaboration with the ergonomists,
- Drawing up an inventory of suitable technologies depending on the type of interface and its requirements,
- Propose changes to existing interfaces,
- Where necessary, create new interfaces,
- Make proposals for any relevant improvements,
- Ensuring the validity and quality of the information displayed, in particular the UX and UI qualities of the interface.

The internship will be divided into several phases:
- Understanding the proposed technical solution and mock-ups, the specifications and the working environment [10%],
- Analysis of the various technical solutions [15%],
- Development of interfaces and implementation of the evaluation ecosystem [50%],
- Documentation of the code and participation in user tests (tests, performance, compliance with specifications, proposed changes to the target product under test) [15%].
- Writing the internship report and preparing for the presentation [10%].

What is your profile ?
Strong interest in innovation, particularly in front-end development, website design and user interfaces.
Experience in development (C++/Python/Java, Web) and databases.
Used to working in a team, creative, autonomous, proactive with a taste for design.
