We are looking for our next Reliability, Maintainability, Availability (RAM) Manager in Villeurbanne .

 

 

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your Reliability, Maintainability, Availability, and Testability expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic, collaborative, and innovative teammates.

You'll make a vital impact by leading a team of 12 RAM engineers and steering all RAM activities from tendering to operations, ensuring the best architectures are defined to meet performance and customer expectations. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as project and program teams, engineering experts in System, Hardware, Software, Verification & Validation, Cybersecurity, and Safety), collaborate with departments like Bids, Procurement, Installation, Warranty & Maintenance, and engage with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

You’ll specifically take care of managing your team’s workload and balancing their skills, as well as ensuring the quality, cost, and delivery of RAM activities for bids, projects, and programs.

 

We’ll look to you for

  • Managing and mentoring a team of 12 RAM engineers.
  • Balancing workload and competencies within the team.
  • Delivering high-quality, on-time, and cost-effective RAM activities for various projects.
  • Implementing Alstom D&IS RAM rules and guidelines while driving the local development of the RAM discipline.
  • Ensuring compliance with Alstom’s standard RAM processes, methods, and tools.
  • Providing technical RAM expertise and supporting root cause analysis for issues.
  • Encouraging innovation in RAM practices and engineering methodologies.
  • Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and internal and external stakeholders.

  • Degree in engineering or a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in team management, with skills in effort estimation, delegation, and priority management.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making abilities, with demonstrated leadership and technical and managerial skills.
  • Ability to support your team and develop solutions to meet challenges.
  • Specific experience in the RAM/RAMS domain, with expertise in associated methodologies and principles.
  • Good understanding of the system lifecycle, from design to operation.
  • Fluency in French and English.
