Program Manager Driver Advisory System

Work Environment:
You will join the Alstom Digital Foundry in Villeurbanne (France), which is Alstom’s specialized center for developing digital solution to be used in Alstom railway applications: Passenger experience, Railway Operations, Asset management.

In this context, you will lead the program responsible for developing an innovative solution : the Driver Advisory System, aiming to enhance driving consistency, improve punctuality, support better adherence to timetables, and increase energy efficiency. This solution leverages advanced data analytics to optimize train operations and deliver measurable benefits for both operators and passengers in today’s competitive market.

Your Mission:
As Driver Advisory System Program Manager, you will lead the overall QCD of the program: Quality, Costs (both recurrent and not recurrent), development lead time and system performances.

• Contribute to the roadmap definition of Driver Advisory System
• Propose the Driver Advisory System specifications aligned with Solutions needs and requirements, in coordination with the Solution Director & Energy domain experts contributing to it, ensuring safety & quality, application competitiveness, customer orientation and innovation
• Manage, control, and execute timely all developments related to the Driver Advisory System (performances, planning/delivery, cost, risks, savings) and in compliance with the approved QCD commitments
• Manage all Gate Reviews related to the program, coordinate all Program Work Packages to meet overall QCD commitments
• Ensure that the Driver Advisory System is easily deployable by Projects and supported by a comprehensive and efficient set of standard tools, procedures, training material and documentation (deployment kit)
• Optimize and measure the Driver Advisory System performances
• Drive and make decisions for issues that affect performance, with validation from Design Authority for any modification that affects deployment cost, planning, and performances
• Prepare and present Driver Advisory System during Digital Foundry reviews / Program reviews
• Coordinate work of other entities (sourcing, finance, …) related to the program
• Operationally manage the Métier resources allocated to the program, provide leadership, and ensure that the program teams fulfil efficiently its duties, including Projects technical support
• Monitor operationally the Product/Program Managers contributing to Driver Advisory System

Your Profile:

• Bachelor/Postgraduate in Engineering, Computer Science, or scientific subjects
• At least 5 years of experience in System/product Engineering or project management in digital/railway/automotive/aircraft
• At least 5 years of experience in management of project/program baseline or in project Management of IT system
• Strong experience on functional or hierarchical team management
• Software engineering background including project deployment full lifecycle view
• Strong experience on Customer relationship on deliverables and scope management
• Cost and planning control experience in software engineering scope
• Hardware, Software, IT technology background including data management/analysis
• Communication skills in a technical environment
• Interpersonal skills (teamwork and leadership)
• Risk assessment & opportunities and ability to anticipate and mobilize team to reach objective
