Product Owner Driver Advisory System

Work Environment

You will join the Alstom Digital Foundry in Villeurbanne (France), which is Alstom’s specialized center for developing digital solution to be used in Alstom railway applications: Passenger experience, Railway Operations, Asset management.

Among these solutions is the Driver Advisory System (DAS), a key component in optimizing train operations, improving energy efficiency, and supporting sustainable mobility.

The DAS solution provides real-time guidance to train drivers, leveraging operational data, timetables, and energy optimization algorithms. It is integrated into Alstom’s broader digital ecosystem and interacts with onboard and wayside systems.

Your Mission

As Product Owner for the Driver Advisory System, you will be responsible for:

• Defining and prioritizing product features based on customer needs, operational requirements, and regulatory constraints.
• Managing the product backlog: ensuring clear prioritization, planning releases, and tracking deliverables.
• Leading agile ceremonies with development teams (onboard software, wayside software, and UI/UX).
• Validating implementations through definition of acceptance criteria, functional previews, demonstrations, and customer feedback loops.
• Coordinating cross-functional stakeholders: digital architects, data governance authority, development teams, DevOps, and cybersecurity manager.
• Driving innovation by incorporating advanced algorithms, connectivity improvements, and user experience enhancements.

Your Profile

• Education in embedded systems, software engineering, or digital product management.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner, technical project manager, or systems engineer in an agile environment.
• Strong understanding of railway operations and digital solutions (knowledge of energy optimization and advisory systems is a plus).
• Familiarity with technological concepts: real-time data processing, APIs, cloud integration, cybersecurity, and observability tools.
• Ability to interact with multicultural teams and manage complex technical projects.
• Leadership, rigor, customer focus, and collaborative spirit.
